Short answer: a recurring affiliate program pays you a share of a customer's subscription every month they keep paying, not just once. In October 2026, beehiiv, Buffer, Later, Webflow and Kit pay for up to 12 months, while systeme.io and Predis say "lifetime" and Suara pays its first 20 partners for as long as each customer pays. Most of the ones we checked pay 25% to 60%; what you actually earn depends on the price of the plan and on how long your referrals stay.
What "recurring" means
A one-off program pays you once, when someone signs up or buys. A recurring program pays you again each month that customer pays.
Some programs cap the recurring part:
- By time. For example 12 months per customer (beehiiv, Buffer, Webflow).
- By amount. For example Metricool caps commission at $100 or $300 per user, depending on your tier.
- Not at all. systeme.io and Predis say "lifetime". Suara has no time limit for its first 20 partners.
Why recurring usually beats one-off
Compare two real programs. Hootsuite pays 20% of a customer's first month only on its Standard plan (it says more on Advanced). Buffer pays 25% of subscription fees for 12 months. If both customers stay a year, the recurring one pays you about 12 times as often for the same single referral.
Recurring also suits how creators work. One good post or video can keep sending sign-ups for months, and each of those can keep paying you.
The catch: you only earn while the customer pays. If they cancel in month two, so does your commission.

How to choose
- Fit first. Pick tools your audience already needs. A newsletter tool suits writers. A social media tool suits small business owners and marketers. A rate means little if nobody you reach will buy.
- Look at money per referral, not just the percent. 50% of a cheap plan can be less than 25% of an expensive one. Work it out: plan price x rate x months.
- Check how long it pays. First month only, 12 months, or lifetime.
- Check attribution. How long after a click does a sign-up still count? Notion says 180 days, Webflow and Hootsuite 90 days, systeme.io says the referral is tagged to you for good.
- Check payout rules. Minimum, how often, and whether there is a hold for refunds.
- Read the rules. Many programs ban paid ads on their brand name and self-referral. Buffer, Predis and Suara ban brand-name ads. Buffer, Notion and Suara ban self-referral. Buffer and Suara also ban coupon and deal sites.
- Be realistic. Rewardful's 2026 report on SaaS affiliate programs found that only 7.6% of affiliates make at least one referral, and 1.28% make a sale. Most affiliate income comes from a small group who post about the product often and to the right people.
Where Suara fits
Suara makes finished Instagram and Facebook posts for a small business every week, in its own look and voice. The owner approves every post in Telegram before anything goes out.
Why the money per referral is high. Suara has one plan: RM599 a month in Malaysia, CA$199 in Canada, US$149 elsewhere. At 30%, that is about RM180, CA$60 or US$45 a month per business, for as long as the business keeps paying (first 20 partners). Later partners get 25% for 12 months per business. For comparison, systeme.io's own example: its Startup plan is $17 a month, so 60% pays $10.20 a month. Rewardful's 2026 report puts the average payout per commission at US$14.10.
What else is in it:
- Your first paying business pays you 100% of its first month instead of 30% (up to one month of the plan price), after a 30-day hold.
- Businesses from your link get 2 weeks free instead of 1, no card.
- Your own business gets Suara free while you are an active partner.
- No follower minimum, and you don't need to be a Suara customer.
The honest limits:
- It is new. The program has no payout history yet. Commission is paid only on fees businesses actually pay.
- It is a niche. It only fits if your audience includes small business owners: cafes, salons, gyms, clinics, small hotels, shops. It will not fit a general audience the way a note-taking app can.
Questions
What is a recurring affiliate program?
A program that pays you a share of a customer's subscription every month they keep paying, often for a set time like 12 months, sometimes for life.
Which recurring affiliate programs pay the highest percent?
Among the programs we checked on 30 Oct 2026, beehiiv (up to 60% for 12 months) and systeme.io (60% lifetime) had the highest rates. Webflow and Kit pay 50% for 12 months.
Is a higher percent always better?
No. Money per referral is plan price x rate x months the customer stays. A lower rate on a more expensive plan can pay more.
Do I need a big following to join?
Not always. Metricool and systeme.io say there is no approval step. Suara asks you to apply but has no follower minimum. What matters most is that your audience needs the product.
How much does Suara's partner program pay?
For the first 20 partners, 30% of what each referred business pays, for as long as that business keeps paying (no 12-month cap). After the first 20, 25% for 12 months per business. One business pays RM599, CA$199 or US$149 a month, so about RM180, CA$60 or US$45 a month per business. The program is new and has no payout history yet.
Do I have to say I earn a commission?
Yes. The US FTC says to clearly disclose any financial relationship with a brand, and Canada's Competition Bureau names commissions directly. Some programs, Suara and Notion included, require it in their rules.
