Short answer: yes. Meta only lets apps publish to Instagram professional accounts (Business or Creator), so any tool that posts for you, Suara included, needs your account switched to professional first. Switching is free and done in the Instagram app or website settings.
How to switch
- Open Instagram and go to your profile settings (on the website: Settings and privacy).
- Open Account type and tools.
- Choose Switch to professional account.
- Pick Business or Creator, then a category.
- Review the contact details you want to show, and finish.
Menu names change between app versions; if you can't find the option, your account may already be professional.
Business or Creator?
For a shop, restaurant, salon or clinic, Business is the usual choice. Both types can be connected to scheduling tools for publishing.
Limits tools work within
Meta's documentation limits Instagram accounts to 100 posts published through its API in any 24 hours, with a carousel counting as one post. That is far above what a small business needs, but it is why tools publish through Meta's API rather than logging in as you.
How Suara helps
Suara is done for you: share your Instagram or website, and Suara makes a week of posts every week from your own photos, in your look and voice. Each post comes to you in a Telegram chat, and nothing is posted until you approve it. Your first week is free. Start your free week. Suara also needs a Business or Creator account to post for you; switching is free.
Questions
Is an Instagram business account free?
Yes. Switching to a professional account costs nothing.
Can a personal Instagram account use a scheduler?
Not for automatic posting. Meta's content publishing is for professional accounts, so a personal account would have to post by hand.
Do I need a Facebook Page?
Not to use Suara with Instagram: Suara connects through Instagram's own login.
